Mill Sessions presents poet/singer/songwriter Gerda Stevenson
(nominated Scots Singer of the Year, MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards, 2014) with her new album Night Touches Day, accompanied by Norwegian musician Kyrre Slind, on lute, sitar, guitar and mandolin.
Gerda’s songs are eclectic in style - jazz, ballad, trad folk and a touch of swing. She will also read from her poetry collection If This Were Real. A BIG LIT MUST SEE.
“Took my breath away. It’s extraordinarily good, quite stunning songwriting…singing and arrangements are impeccable… Braw, braw wark, aathegither.” DICK GAUGHAN
“The best of the new in contemporary Scottish poetry - not to be missed.” RON BUTLIN, Sunday Herald.
