Mike Hastings with Murray, Stewart & Burns supporting.
Mike Hastings is a singer songwriter from Glasgow and is the guitarist of Psyche Folk-Rock band Trembling Bells. He also plays in the Mike Heron Band, Mike and Solveig and The Pendulums. Influenced by the likes of the Incredible string band, Kevin Ayers, Syd Barrett and early John Martyn, Mike’s colourful and surreal songs twist and weave unexpectedly around intricate finger picked guitar patterns. Expect tales of Candlestick Makers, Small Horses, Spirals and the Infinite Reflection of the Golden Sandwich.

Murray, Stewart & Burns: acapella close harmony songstresses from Dumfries
Murray, Stewart & Burns is an up-and-coming three-part harmony group hailing from Dumfries and Glasgow, consisting of Emily Murray, Melanie Stewart and Janice Burns - all in their early twenties. The young trio of close friends formed the band at the tail-end of 2012 after discovering their seemingly natural ability to blend their individual vocals together to create one beautiful and mesmerizing sound. Taking influence from an eclectic range of musical genres, the girls try to incorporate as much variation as they can into their set-lists, including both covers and original songs. Despite being new to the scene, they have already bagged slots at Comlongon Rocks 2013 and the Wickerman Festival 2013, as well as having played at the Big Burns Supper earlier in the year.
