Little White Dress

Monday 18th August – Saturday 20th September 2014

In ‘Little White Dress’ paper artist Isabell Buenz shows her fairy-tale like collection of paper dresses and accessories made from tea bag paper, inspired by her favourite encounters with nature.

The exhibition combines the artist’s interests and passions: working with paper, close up photography, use of words and her love of fashion.

When shown previously at Gracefield Arts Centre, the Dumfries & Galloway Life magazine reviewed the collection, stating the exhibition was “an outstanding example of how much can be made from so little”, astonished that tea bag paper “in its new couture role … is transformed into delicate, aetherial fabric, muslin-like, pure, clean and crisp.”

This exhibition at the Mill on the Fleet will display additional work and be brought to life by the artist during a special event on 23rd August.
