Session : Shelagh McDonald

in concert with Nigel H. Seymour

Friday 18th August 2017

Tickets in advance from Ticketsource, or on the door: £10

International singer songwriter Nigel H Seymour and the legendary folk rock singer Shelagh McDonald are once again treading the boards of the concert stage and doing several ‘one off’ concerts throughout the summer months.

Shelagh McDonald’s story is the stuff of legend today, after her rise to international fame in the early 70’s, only to ‘disappear’ after three very successful album releases…to appear again in the mid 2000’s with a story which would make most hairs stand on end!

Nigel H Seymour commented on the forthcoming concerts:

‘Just to see Shelagh McDonald play in the flesh today, will be a history making experience for people, owing to the fact that Shelagh really did have no intention at all of picking up a guitar and playing it again after her legendary disappearance…  It has taken several years to get the lady to the point of performance again, and I’m honoured to have had a part in this great musical adventure, which recently has taken another twist for the turn with the reinstatement of us both by BMG in London, who are now set on re issuing her back catalogue on vinyl and CD with updated cover and notes.'

Nigel H Seymour ‘s story is as wildly vivid as Shelagh’s in many ways with releases in South America, and recently his ‘Europe’ album in the Uk, which made a prominent mark.

No one who ventures to see these special offerings by these two artists will be disappointed, on the contrary, they will leave after with a feeling of having seen and heard something very special, and very ‘different’.   Seymour’s unique voice, together with his offering of new material, is equally matched by Shelagh McDonalds incredible guitar style and equally incredible vocal.
